If you want me to go a step further, look no further than this. Basically saying "If we think your pack helps you cheat, then you get banned." It's just up to whether or not they choose to inforce it, but they are against the TOS. No, the devs have stated that sound packs are indeed a bannable offense, advantage or not. I've done sound mods for 1-3 years of my playing, and not once did I get banned. Plenty of games such as fallout new vegas and fallout 4 have sound mods with copyrighted music, and the devs and player have not received any cease and desists, unless the said player/user is making money off of the mod/video, then that's when copyright comes in. And lol, copyright for someone using music they added? come on man, you're reaching there.

I've been aruging this topic on the forums for years, and have gotten mixed responses. You want to sound mod your game? Sure go right ahead, but the official word is Sound Mods are against the TOS which makes it a bannable offense.īasically it means "If we think your pack helps you cheat, then you get banned."

I am more than aware that people point out that PGI doesn't persue these type of modifications, but that doesn't change that officially they are a bannable offense because they break the TOS.Īnd all it takes is for them to get some sort of lawsuit due to copyright negligence for one of the mods or something, for them to auto ban everyone that logs in with a sound mod, to cover their behinds. The Community Manager post is quite clear on it not mattering why you mod the any part not listed in their post.
